Hilltop Ministries: Nicaragua

  Last week, if you are following us or our missionary on social media, you saw that we gave out "blessing envelopes" to families we work with that are in need here in Nicaragua. When you support our ministry you are blessing many people in more ways than you can imagine. Here are some small testimonies from different famlies that received one of our blessing envelopes. We can help the people of Nicaragua, because you took a step of faith to make a donation to us! Thank you! Over the last few weeks Covid cases in Esteli, Nicaragua have increasing dramatically. Many people are sick or have a loved ones that are sick. We have not been having the kids feedings this past month for two reasons. One, our missionary in Nicaragua was sick with Covid and has been recovering. The second reason was we did  not want the children, the children's families, or our leaders to be put in a place with a large amount of people where there would be a possibility that someone may get Covid. Their sickness, or possible death, would be our responsibility. We discussed with our leaders in the USA and in Nicaragua, and we decided to take the money that we would have use for the kids feedings and bless families who are in need. As many of you know, over the last few months we have not been able to meet our monthly budget goal for our ministry in Nicaragua. We wanted to take the time out of our normal schedule to say thank you!   We ask that you join us in prayer for the people of Nicaragua. Currently there has been surge in postive cases of Covid-19 in Nicaragua. As many know, our missionary and her family got Covid at the beginning of August. Thankfully they are all recovering well, but for many in Nicaragua that is not the case. The hospitals, clinics, and health department locations, at least in Esteli where our missionary lives, are overwhelmed with patients. The demand for oxygen is far greater than anyone expected. Some people are able to get oxygen tanks and hire private doctors, but there are many that are not able to receive that care. The hospital and other places have too many patients, not enough doctors and nurse to care for everyone needs, limited ventilators, and for many the wrong treatment plan.  OUR MINISTRY IN NICARAGUA IS POSTPONED FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST.  Unfortunately, we do not have all the funds needed for our monthly budget for the month of August for our ministry in Nicaragua. Leadership has stated that until we can raise the funds needed the ministry will have to be postponed. This breaks our heart. Many people will be affected if we completely stop all our ministry in Nicaragua.  We are missing over $600 to reach our monthly budget for August, and here is how you can help. Our ministry in Nicaragua runs off of our monthly supporters. Through the last year our monthly supporters have decrease. We understand that it was hard to keep sending monthly support because of the economic struggles due to COVID in 2020.  When we can not reach our ministry budget goal for Nicaragua  that means that our ministry has to be put on hold. This also means our missionary living in Nicaragua has to go without. We can not start it back up until we receive the funds needed. Many people look forward to the lunch that we provide and they look forward to a safe place to relax. They look forward to feeding their soul with God's Word.  The ministry has a budget each month that covers the material for Bible class, food for our feeding program, materials for our women's and teens craft class, resources for our youth group, expensive for our missionary living in Nicaragua, transportation cost, and resources for our community outreach program.
